VISN-10
VetFed was awarded a contract with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), VISN-10 for the implementation of a design build Real Time Locating System (RTLS) within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) by integrating hardware, software, and services, including program oversight, quality assurance, and training. VetFed manages the VISN 10 Healthcare Network at five VA hospitals and 2 clinics throughout the state of Ohio.
The key features of the work include the following aspects:
• Improve and integrate services across the VA to increase reliability, speed, and accuracy of delivery
• Real time visibility of assets and patients
• Designing and implementing an RTLS initiative to enable the VA to centralize databases
• Allow sharing of data across VA facilities
• Improve operational efficiency; and
• Improve VA’s ability to adjust capacity dynamically to meet changing needs
• Preparedness for emergencies
