Medical Disability Examinations
In support of the Veteran’s Administration (VA) VetFed provides all resources necessary to accomplish the Medical Disability examinations requested by VA under PL 104-275. In VBA’s Western Region in southern California, VetFed manages the delivery of Medical Disability Examinations to veterans. VetFed also provides program management and reporting, quality assurance, and training.
In partnership with QTC, VetFed locates, subcontracts, and trains a wide range of General Medicine and Specialty medical professionals in performing medical disability examinations for Veterans and separating service members within the Western Region (San Diego and Los Angeles Regional Offices). The project anticipates 24,000 exam requests a year for five years and currently, halfway through the base year, VetFed has received requests that validate that volume. VetFed maintains a Program Management Office (PMO), that tracks, monitors and consistently improves all quality assurance metrics, deliverables and key performance metrics both specified and implied in the contract.
